The capital city of West Java is Bandung and the West Java people are called the Sundanese, endowed with language and traditions unique to that of the rest of Java Island. The Sundanese language has 3 distinct hierarchies, starting from the lowly harsh (kasar), middle, and soft (lemes) Sundanese. Many Sundanese words have been adopted into Indonesian, although many of its contributions consist of profanities. Pajajaran Kingdom was the oldest kingdom in the region. The West Java region is also named as Parahyangan or the "Land of the Gods". In its later history, the region fell under influence of the Central Java kingdoms, reflected in elite Sundanese having borrowed much of its vocabulary and grammar from elite Javanese.
West Java Province is a province with the highest number of people in Indonesia. Areas with population density is located near Jakarta. Bandung, West Java provincial capital is a city with a population of the third largest in Indonesia after Jakarta and Surabaya, it was the center of the Sudanese people who inhabit the largest part of West Java. They are known for their light skin, preference for fried fish and raw salads, and rather strict Islamic beliefs. The Sudanese are also known for their three dimensional wooden wayang golek puppet, the angklung instrument made from bamboo pipes and Sudanese songs and dances accompanied by a kecapi (citer) and a suling (bamboo flute).
Most of the population is a tribe of West Java is Sunda, a Sundanese language is in used. In some coastal cities in the north, Cirebon Javanese dialect is in used, which is similar to the Javanese Tegal dialect. Cultural tourism among others, Temple Cangkuang in Leles Garut, Sisingaan Village in Tasikmalaya, history tourism as Kasepuan Palace in Cirebon, Old Banten in Naga Village, historical era stone (Megalitikum) in Cipari Kuningan, and Bosscha Observatory in Bandung.
West Java borders Special Region Jakarta and Banten Province to the west, and Central Java to the east. To the north is Java Sea. To the south is the Indian Ocean. Unlike most other provinces in Indonesia which have their capitals in coastal area, the provincial capital Bandung is located in a mountainous area.

Angklung.
Angklung is a Sundanese's traditional musical instrument. The instrument made from bamboo where its use by of two bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved so that they have a resonant pitch when struck. The two tubes are tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held with one hand while the other hand shakes the instrument rapidly from side to side. This causes a rapidly repeating note to sound. Thus each of three or more angklung performers in an ensemble will play just one note and together complete melodies are produced. Angklung was used and played by the Sundanese since the ancient times.

Ciater Hot Spring.
Ciater Hot Spring is a nice park with small pools in which we can sit or swim. The streams and pools are fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the heat from nearby volcanoes. About 30 minutes from Tangkuban Perahu crater. Ciater is pretty little place in the middle of huge tea estate. Its main attraction is the Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort; the pools are probably the best of all the hot springs around Bandung.

In 1895 Its was Important building on Dutch colonial. At the beginning this building named .Societeit Concordia, The center of culture. Mount Patuha and White Crater (Kawah Putih).

Indonesian Safari Park (Taman Safari Indonesia).
Taman Safari Indonesia located at Cibeureum Village, Cisarua Sub-District, Bogor Regency, West Java, was constructed in 1980. This location was a non productive tea plantation of about 136.5's Ha. given by local Government Governor of West Java to the Oriental Circus to manage as Taman Safari Indonesia.Taman Safari Indonesia, located in a Buffer Zone of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, stands at an elevation between 900-1,800 meters above sea level, with temperatures ranging between 16-27 degrees Celsius. Mount Gede.
Gede Mount is a favourite place for hiking and camping. Almost every weekend, adventurers often come to this place in order to conquest the summit of Gede Mount with height 2,958 above sea level. Beside Mount Gede Summit, you can see the summit of Pangrango Mount which looks like shape triangle. Both are controlled by National Park of Gede Pangrango Mount. On the top of Gede Mount there are some active craters (last exploded in 1957), and savannah meadow with eternal flowers (Edelweiss/anaphalis javanica) grows on it which an attractive view for climbers. Mount Papandayan.
Mount Papandayan is located about 30 km from Garut and about 90 km to the south-east of Bandung and its highly unstable volcano. Its first recorded explosion was in August 1772, when it blew one cubic kilometer of its cone into the sky, killing 3000 people and burying 40 villages around the volcano. Exploring Papandayan's active crater offers you a very unusual experience.
