Kediri as one of East Java regency and it one of clean and a cool city in East Java that has famous since long time ago. It is situated on Brantas River, at the foot of Mount Wilis, 65 miles (105 km) southwest of Surabaya. It is the centre of a sugar industry and of trade in such agricultural products as coffee, tobacco, rice, and cassava. The city's light manufacturing includes textile and lumber mills and machine shops. Historical remnants scattered around Kediri showing that it had played important roles in many eras. This area is surrounded by mountain and has a lot of nature scenery, so that it makes its air cold and fresh. This regency also save historical value and common said has the old kingdom in Java Island. As a center of tourism, Kediri has a lot of places of interests which are classified into local, regional, national and international standards, Tourism Kediri such as; Mount Kelud This is volcano mount, but its charming scenery has attracts the tourists to visit this mount. It has the channel to the crater, sulfuric lake, cool plantation, Puh Sarang, Ngeyangan Waterfall, Dolo waterfall, Sri Aji Joyoboyo graveyard.
Kediri Regency is lies between 110º 47' 05" - 112º 18' 20" east longitude and 7º 36' 12" - 8º 00' 32" south latitude. The average of rainfall reaches 2,326 mm, and 110 days rain falling per annum. The average temperature reaches 22.420 ºC maximum and 21.08 ºC minimum. The highest level reaches 29 ºC, and the lowest level reaches 20 ºC.
This regency is bordered by :
North side: Jombang regency and Nganjuk regency
South side: Tulung Agung and Blitar regency
East side: Malang and Jombang regency
West side: Nganjuk and Tulung Agung regency
Kediri regency Area covers of 1,386.05 km square = 138,605 hectares. It lies between the plains and the mountains, and 35.07% (48,614 hectares) consists of paddy field about 64.93% (89,99 hectares) dry land. Focusing on the farmland about 73.3% of it is arranged by technical irrigation, 68% by semi technical, and 2.6% by water that depends on the rainfall. The dry land consists of 33.6% compound land, 30.8% dry land (Tegalan), 10.8% estate, 18.7% forest, and 6.1% other.

Mount Kelud.
After it eruption in Nov 2007, today Mount Kelud is very phenomenal with its new dome that exists from its lake. Mount kelud has change, it had green crater before explode, but today the beautiful crater is gone and turn up new crater that different from the previous.
The climax activity of Mount Kelud is to turn up a dome from the lake crater in November 5, 2007 with diameter 100 meters and 20 meters height from crater water. Today, the Lava Dome still growing slowly till 200 meters height and widened to southwest side of the lake crater wide.
The first white and black smoke are detected in November 4, 2007. At that time is 200 meters height and today the wind has blow them to south side. The white smoke is come out from the dome and blow to the air till 1.000 meters height. Visitors can see and enjoy its new dome if the condition is really safe to be visited. The Dome is seems to be Mount kelud’s son. There is no crater-lake or green water in Mount kelud, but the new kelud presents its new dome. Fantastic and curious nature panorama.
Puh Sarang Church.
This church is located in Puhsarang village, Semen district of Kediri, that’s why it is called Puhsarang Church. The location is 10 km in western Kediri City. This old church had built by Ir. Heendricus Maclaine on behalf of pioneer Mr. Yohanes Humbertus Wolters CM in 1931. The architecture is collaboration between European and Majapahit, combination with other local cultures and Christianity. The first establishment of the complex is the "Antique Church", Puhsarang Church. The structure of the church has unique architectural style form and we can see unique full-scale sculptures of Lord Jesus and the people on the way of cross. If we look at this church so far, it is like a ship from a mountain, which is describing the rescue Noah prophet’s story and his passengers. The buildings in the church area are built from the massive stones, which are taken from materials surrounding the tourism area.
Irenggolo Waterfall.
This waterfall is located about 20 km, 30 minutes from Kediri City. The fabulous mountainous scenery of Besuki-irenggolo has is ready to see. Besides, here the tourists can find some interesting things, such as; shady natural pine forest, playground, camping ground, hiking and jogging area, there are many trees that add its greenness and beautiful scenery for your eyes.
Dolo Waterfall.
Dolo waterfall reside is in 1200 m height above sea level. It is about 20 km, 30 minutes from Kediri City. This is one of Kediri tourism objects that have interesting scenery. The air is fresh and it can be enjoyed with family, because the water also very clear and clean. On this area is equipped with some tourism facilities, such as; playground, camping ground, area for jogging, cross-country, hiking, etc. This natural scenery is mountainous, so that it will give you fresh and cold air.Surowono Temple.
Surowono Temple is place of hallowing of King Wengker that is one of the Kings subordinate during King Hayam Wuruk government from Majapahit Empire. It is rectangular of 8 x 8 meters size and built in 1400 AD. The fascination of Surowono temple tourism object is the building result as the masterpiece history of omission of past and underground tunnel; the cutting building that flown in clear water of branching way. It is located quite a lot branch about 100 meters from temple building. Surowono Temple, located in Canggu village, Pare district, about 25 Direction km Northeast from Kediri city.Tegowangi Temple.
Tegowangi temple is one of ancient temple in Kediri region. This temple has saved many stories about Kediri history. There are some reliefs on the temple wall that interest the tourists who like the historic tourism.
