Batu Tourism Travel Guide and Tourist Information.

Batu city is located in 800 meters above sea level, with cold temperature 17º-25,6º of Celsius. Batu city is an area in East Java that surrounded by mountains. Geographically, Batu is tropic area. The potencies of this area are coming from the agro product properties, fruits, vegetables, mountain panorama and the hills. Batu city is one part of the East Java Province, with area 202,800 km2 or equal to 20,280 ha width. The situation of topography in Batu city has two different characteristics, that is north and west side is hilly and surging height area, while east area and south area that is relatively flat though at 700 m height from sea level.

Selecta is one of interesting tourism object in Batu Regency that crowded by many visitors especially for local people. Located in Tulungrejo village, Bumiaji district, about 13 km from the city. Selecta is tourism object that offering the ruthless of air with about 20ha width. This place has swimming pool facility, flowerbed, hotel, restaurant, and playground.
Selecta built in 1928 by a Dutch named Reyter Dewild. It resides in dale with height of 1100 m dpl. The temperature is 17 C. In this tourism area, there is Bima Sakti Hotel, which has healthy center and resort of the first Indonesia President Soekarno and Moh. Hatta that used to applied the country conception.

Songgoriti is located in Songgokerto village, Batu district, under the hillside of Mount Panderman and has a hot spring pool. Songgoriti Temple is located in a dale dissociating between mountainsides of Arjuna with mountainside of Kawi. This temple has built with a hot spring, which had believed able to heal various diseases. Located in about 2 km west of Batu town centre, this is probably the single most attractive village in the area and a day or half day spent just wandering here will be time well spent. There are some nice hot springs to relieve tired legs and a notable Hindu temple dating from the Majapahit period in the 15th century name it Supo Temple. This old temple is located in Songgoriti tourism area and often visited by many tourists. Mount Banyak.
Mount Banyak is located in Songgokerto village, Batu district. Mount Banyak also has beautiful natural scenery. This mount is tourism object that being applied for unique sport called ‘Paralayang’ or ‘Gantole’ and down hill sport. Paralayang sport is free flying sport just like a bird. It is free natural sport. This sport is only done on hill and mountain. The athletes have to used wind to fly and enjoy the free air. Statue Handicraft.
It is located in Dadaprejo village, Junrejo district. This statue handicraft industry has business relationship with Japan. It also has exported to many countries in the world and local area, such as; Malang, Surabaya, etc. This statue handicraft has different price, depend on its form and size.

Antique Furniture.
Beside known as Apple city, Batu city is also famous with its furniture. Antique furniture industry is located in Pandanrejo village, Bumiaji district. That furniture often sends to Bali, Malang and even Malaysia. In Bali, this furniture is used for traditional ceremony.

Iron Handicraft (Gong And Agriculture Tools).
Iron handicraft industry is located in Junrejo village, Junrejo district. The famous iron handicrafts made by Batu are gong (one of Javanese music instrument) handicraft and agriculture tools. Although used manual tools, this industry able to produce 25 – 30 spades each days. Cobek Handicraft.

Plastic Handicraft Industry.
This plastic home industry is located in Junrejo village, Junrejo district, Batu. There are many employers here and most of them are the members of society around. This industry is able to produce 2000 plastic bag each day. Bag plastic is handicraft product that always needed by people. These products even send to other countries.

Stove.
Stove handicraft is one of handicraft products of home industry that located in Dadaprejo village, Junrejo district, Batu city. Stove is useful household that often ordered by many customers. This stove handmade has distributed to many cities in Indonesia, including; Medan, Maumere and Lampung.

Brass Industry.
Today, Brass handicraft is the rareness product in our society. But Batu city still has brass craftsmen and produce brass product as consumers needs. This home industry is located in Dadaprejo village, Junrejo district. The producer is able to supply brass handicraft based on the consumer’s order. This brass handicraft is delivery product and the consumers can order any design as they want.
